Project Overview and Role
Palladium is seeking a summer/fall intern to provide support in the implementation of project activities on the USAID-funded Health Policy Plus project. The intern will conduct a literature reviews and analyze qualitative data related to pediatric clients living with HIV transitioning to adult HIV services and achieving viral suppression. The intern will contribute to written materials, including reports, research articles, and briefs. Foreign language skills, especially Portuguese, are desired but not required.
This internship runs from May through December 2017.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support related to pediatric HIV, including desk-based research, qualitative analysis, report/brief writing, and generating presentations for project staff.Conducting a systematic review of published, peer reviewed literature and other sources in select pediatric HIV topics.Produce analytical papers and policy briefs for specific assignments.Work well both independently with limited management direction and within a team.Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
MPH/MA/MSN student in public health, nursing, international development, public policy, or related field.
The following are desirable:Strong analytical and research skills, including data analysis.Clear and effective writing and oral communication skills.Ability to translate and present complex information to diverse audiences in writing and verbally.Ability to develop technical data into presentations and/or other multimedia formats.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and conducting web-based research.Ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities while meeting deadlines.Ability to work successfully with diverse groups, partners and colleagues and a team player.Experience with qualitative research software.Foreign language skills, especially Portuguese.
